
Takisha Schulterbrandt, PhD, MPH
Dr. Schulterbrandt, the CEO and brains behind BCOMPLEX, is a neuroscientist and public health professional by training. She made her footprint in the IT world over 20 years ago and has supported Federal Civilian and Defense clients as an executive leader for large and small organizations including ManTech, SAIC, LEIDOS, eGlobalTech (now TetraTech), and most recently a Native American/Tribally owned company. She has also worked at academic institutions such as George Washington University and Georgetown University. She leverages her science, health and technical training and her passion for selfless service to enhance business operations, increase corporate growth and deliver quality solutions for clients.
Throughout her career, Dr. Schulterbrandt has received multiple awards including a Howard Hughes Research Fellowship as well as Merit awards for biomedical research. Most recently she was awarded the 2020 Women in Leadership IMPACT Award in Federal IT and Consulting and was also awarded U.S. Patent No. 10,782,026 for innovative engineering device positioning techniques. She believes in mentoring young girls to pursue a career in STEM and has served on the boards of non-profit organizations that help at-risk youth.
Dr. Schulterbrandt recognized early on that a scientific approach to business can add significant value. She believes “science involves the search for simple models to explain complex matters. It also requires passionate people able to use transparent methods to help produce straight-forward results”. BCOMPLEX was established based on these principles – to employ passionate Domain Experts able to simplify the complex problems confronted by clients.
Dr. Schulterbrandt received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Columbia University, a Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Neurosciences from the University of Maryland.
